It’s clean and secure, with shops nearby.

I arrived at 23h00, exhausted after driving from Johannesburg toward Mthatha, and had hoped to find somewhere to rest. A non man with his shirt unbottoned greeted me, which felt very unprofessional. The water was cold that night and still cold when I got up at 5am, so they sent me to a workers rooms to bathe. It was the most horrible experience of my life, and the service was extremely poor. The place was nothing like the advertisement.

The place is beautiful, and although the rooms are cold, there’s an electric blanket, a heater, and an extra blanket to keep warm. Our room’s WiFi barely connected, and they hadn’t told us about that at reception.

The rates are reasonable and the rooms look nice, though ours could use some TLC. I was disappointed that the first room we were shown hadn’t been cleaned after the previous occupant, who’d also left a goodie behind.
