The garden walk each morning was a lovely start, with indigenous trees and ferns leading to a hearty breakfast. Evenings were just as good, with home-cooked meals at those solid wooden tables and a chance to chat with the lodge manager and cook. My upgraded room was spacious and everything worked, including the mosquito control. The lodge sits on a quiet, shady street, a welcome break from the Lowveld heat, with only a road and fence between it and Kruger Game Park. I’ve loved coming back to this part of South Africa since childhood, and now I’ve found my regular place to stay when work brings me to the Lowveld.

We were treated like royalty from the minute we arrived. The rooms were roomy, the food was excellent, and the service and hospitality were first-rate. Such a great place and location. It felt like heaven on earth. Thanks, Acasia, we’re already looking forward to coming back!

The pool was cute, and everything was super clean with lovely decor. The owners and staff were so kind and welcoming, and really made sure we had a great stay. I had an amazing time and only wish I could’ve stayed longer.

We didn’t eat at the restaurant since we planned to self-cater, but the ladies kindly gave us cutlery and crockery, and nothing seemed too much trouble. They even let us leave our luggage there until our next destination was ready. Kookie and Denise took such good care of us, and the staff were caring throughout. We felt right at home. Our room was awesome, with a very comfortable bed and an incredible shower. Acacia Lodge in Komatiepoort is close to the crocodile bridge entrance, which was very convenient. My husband, son and I stayed three nights, and I’d go back in an instant. Thank you for a wonderful stay, five stars all the way 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hearing hippos nearby in the evening was a nice bonus. The rooms have been revamped, the food was very good, and the staff were incredible.
