I chose Lamon Guesthouse because of the recommendation and positive reviews. It looks attractive outside, but my room was dirty. There was dust and hair on the mattress protector, and all four pillows and the bedding had awful yellow stains. I raised it with Sunè, who said the stains wouldn’t come out even after washing. She said she’d researched it and that sleeping on a stained pillow was fine if it was clean, but the pillows didn’t look or smell clean. My colleague’s pillows were stained too. They don’t use pillow protectors, and a clean pillowcase can hide a stained, dirty pillow, so I suggest checking the pillows at places like this. I wouldn’t recommend Lamon Guesthouse. If zero stars were an option, that’s what I’d give it.

At Lamon Guest house, the gate wouldn’t open or close when we arrived, and we tried to reach the hosts 19 times. The doors also couldn’t be locked that evening. It was frightening trying to sleep somewhere where nothing locks or closes. Absolutely shocking.

Russel reached out before I arrived, which made me feel welcome right away. I had a wonderful stay. It’s quiet, so I could get work done in my room without interruptions.
