Safari Travelodge

Charles and Virginia were absolutely wonderful and helpful, and Charles, you're a top man. It's a beautiful, peaceful place to stay in Kuruman, with a lovely room and setting. The bed was a bit hard and the floor hadn't been mopped very cleanly, though. Please don't stay in town on the highway, it's noisy. Stay here and you'll be incredibly thankful to me. Breakfast included somehow would help. Otherwise, the Spur in town does a great breakfast. Thank you!

We stopped to see the Eye of Kuruman, and it's best as a quick overnight stay. Some neighbours were noisy. The room had a braai and microwave, but no plates, cutlery or toaster. There was only one towel for two people and one coffee sachet. The friendly staff sorted out the problems quickly.

A week ago, my stay at Safari Travelodge was terrible. There were spiders everywhere, and hardly any hot drink supplies: no tea bags, just one sugar sachet, one powdered milk sachet and one Ricoffy sachet. Worse, unknown people tried our room doors and went to our cars at midnight. In other areas people have been forced at gunpoint to withdraw money or hand over their cars to thugs, so this felt totally unsafe. We reported the door attempts to the owners, but they didn't seem to care, investigate, or even apologize for the lack of security. We were told there was a security guard, but what happened was completely at odds with those assurances. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who cares about their safety and well-being.

There was hot water during loadshedding, which was a plus. The area is hard to find if you're not local. When the power came back, the aircon wasn't working. The shower was really loose, and when I tried to fix it, it fell off. 💔💔
