The lodge is beautiful, with a great location and nice views of the town. But we booked a standard king bed and were given two single beds pushed together, which was very disappointing. There also wasn't enough hot water for two people to shower in the morning. The breakfast order was disappointing as well, since one meal included pork despite a specific request to leave it out.

After a long workday, the peaceful atmosphere is the best part for me. The meals are great, and the long-term staff are professional while still feeling personal. It's my only go-to guesthouse in Ladysmith, with the best view over town and the mountains in the distance. The sunsets and thunderstorm displays are the best too.

A lovely overnight stop on our trip to KZN from Pretoria and back again. The old-world charm is great, and stopping here is the best way to avoid driving the crazy N3 at night.

The view over Ladysmith and the surrounding landscape is marvelous. The place is awesome, with beautiful modern rooms, a comfortable bed, walk-in shower, kettle and stylish decorations.

It felt nostalgic to be back in my old stomping ground after so many years, and I'm glad we made the visit. Sue, your guest lodge is magnificent. We loved every moment, from the stunning views and beautiful rooms to the great service. Everything was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was awesome.
