Esiweni Luxury Safari Lodge

The views from Esiweni Lodge are breathtaking, and the setting made our stay unforgettable. Our hosts were so helpful and welcoming, adding a special warmth to the safari. Every meal was a treat. We will definitely come back!

The meals were a real highlight. Esiweni has its own chef, and every dish seemed better than the last. We told him we weren't picky and asked him to make some of his favorites. Portions were huge, and he came out to check on us after each meal. The wait staff were warm, friendly and attentive, bringing food quickly and pulling out chairs whenever we sat down. On our final night, they surprised us with a traditional African BBQ by the fire, with delicious food and drinks. Our honeymoon at Esiweni was unforgettable. The lodge was beautiful, quiet and peaceful, and the whole staff welcomed us warmly. Their service was unlike anything we'd experienced, and they were quick to say yes to whatever we asked. Alex, the manager, was always around when we needed help and got things sorted quickly. There was champagne and snacks waiting in our room, which was cleaned and tidied about 4x a day. After our second game ride, the staff prepared a bubble bath for us every night. Game rides started at 6am, with coffee and cookies before we set off. We came during a cold front, but the truck had ponchos and heated hand warmers and bottles to keep us warm. Robert, our ranger, was incredible from day 1. He went out of his way to help us see every animal we wanted and get as close as possible. On our first ride, a lion and lioness walked right past the car. We got back a week ago and already miss everyone. The quality and service were unmatched, and we'd highly recommend Esiweni to anyone traveling to South Africa for a safari. We hope to return soon.

We loved every part of our stay. The welcome was warm, and the staff were attentive. They arranged lovely extras like lunch in the bushes and an aperitif in the savanna. Great food, and two safari tours each day. Highly recommend!
