Marina Village

The main drawback is often very loud live music from the restaurant next door, which can make sitting outside unpleasant. Otherwise, Marina Village is well placed right by the water, and the buildings and layout seem practical, with an outdoor entertainment area looking over the marina. It's sheltered from the prevailing south-easterly wind, a big plus. Each unit has dedicated parking, which is handy during peak season when spaces are hard to find.

Such a lovely place to spend time, clean, and the view is wonderful. It was rainy and cold, but I still enjoyed it so much.

We liked the harbour views, the security, the contemporary spacious units, and having DStv with sports channels. The price was expensive, though. Our unit had its own allocated parking bay and a safe. The two-floor layout has the kitchen, dining area, sitting area, and outdoor deck downstairs. Full-size sliding glass doors separate the deck from the lounge, so you can enjoy the harbour view from inside; the deck has a balustrade. The kitchen is well equipped, including a dishwasher, but there's no washing machine or tumble dryer. Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. Ours had a bath, shower, two basins, heated towel rail, and supplied hair dryer. Extra security at Marina Village includes card-key access through doors in the high wall around the complex, plus a lockable door to the unit's barbecue area. The curved stairs up to the bedrooms make this unsuitable for anyone who has difficulty with them.

Everything you need is on hand in these well-equipped units, and the restaurants are close by. Works well for a family or two couples. We'll definitely be back.
