Speelhuis Studios

The location is perfect and the view is beautiful, but unit 2 needs maintenance. The old bathroom mirror and very narrow toilet seat area made things uncomfortable, the shower was dirty, and the sink area needs urgent attention. The microwave is awkwardly placed, and there's only a bar fridge. Internet kept cutting in and out. We could hear sounds through the connecting door as well as movement upstairs, which was disturbing. We needed to stay until 15h00 and asked several times for help, but staff didn't even try to assist. Won't be back.

A lovely room, and waking up to both the sight and sound of the ocean was amazing. We had a great stay.

We spent nine days at Speelhuis Studio and were really pleased with Jaffe the caretaker, who was friendly and helpful throughout. The balcony was a highlight, with a braai, chairs and table, and the studio was well equipped. It even came with swimming towels, a beach umbrella, boogie boards, beach bats, charcoal, blitz, matches, a make up mirror, coffee and tea, and a bag of ice cubes. The view is phenomenal, with a beautiful beach and Mykonos Marina both within walking distance. It's also a handy base for driving to Jacobsbaai, Paternoster, St. Helena Bay, Port Owen and Yzerfontein. Great value for money and a lovely way for a couple to enjoy the West Coast.

The shower is on the small side and wouldn't suit bigger people, and the room could use a little attention. Still, it was a great experience for the price. The view is spectacular, with the ocean almost in the room, and it's so relaxing.
