The Shark Bay Private Villas

My Husband and I had gone away for our Wedding Anniversary, and somehow, despite all our trips to Langebaan, we stumbled on this gem. The team at Shark Bay Boutique were fantastic, from the bar staff and waitresses who were so accommodating to the chef, who made my hubby a killer steak. He even pulled him out of the kitchen to compliment him. From that first phone call, when only 2 rooms were left, through the warm welcome from the reception team and Riaan, the whole stay turned into one memorable moment after another. Riaan was friendly, had a great sense of humor, and did everything he could to make the visit special. Special shout out to Riaan, you rock! With appreciation, Jaco and Angie Bekker.

Our favourite honeymoon stay. We loved relaxing in the spa after all the stress of organising a wedding, and the staff were friendly and professional. They paid attention to little things like extra blankets and champagne, and Riaan went the extra mile. He was warm and easy to talk to, recommended things to do in the area, and remembered to reserve our preferred breakfast table for the second morning. The room felt luxurious and romantic, with a beautiful water view and a free-standing bath. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

We’ve had another special visit at Shark Bay hotel, and my family will definitely return for the atmosphere, service and good value. The spa, swimming pool, easy beach access and breathtaking views are exceptional, all just an hour and a half from Cape Town. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to meet our needs. Riaan especially makes us feel at home. We booked a sea-facing room, which was lovely, but wanted to look at other options and were allowed to choose a room that suited us better in the main hotel. Breakfast felt fair for the low price charged.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, and Riaan and Belinda went above and beyond with their hospitality and service. I had a wonderful stay at Sharkbay Hotel. I’d recommend it for a board meeting or a relaxing getaway, and I’ll definitely be back. Regards, Heidi.
