The lady on duty was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed having access to the kitchen. The stay felt cosy and comfortable, almost like home. We booked for three, but had to ask for extra towels and water when we arrived. The little shower and toilet area felt below standard and uncomfortable to use. On a hot evening we opened both windows, which meant traffic noise and a huge dog barking came in. We also couldn't reach the fan and light cable up high to dim the light and use just the fan, so we had to switch both off at the wall.

The staff were very helpful and it was a lovely place to stay. I would have given five stars, but the porch door wouldn't lock and the shower drain was blocked. We had to shower in another room, though the staff got straight onto fixing it.

The shared kitchen's smells and noise were awful, and twice my husband had to ask other guests to keep it down. On our last night, at 23h30, another guest talked on his cellphone on speaker for 20 minutes. The towels had seen better days, and there were no coffee facilities in the room. This guest house isn't suited to a longer stay.

The staff were amazing and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful. But there was old blood and other stains on the duvet. I honestly wouldn't come back.
