There are plenty of rooms, plus an onsite restaurant, bar and pool. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, though not upmarket, just sufficient. Service is very friendly, and there’s secure off-street parking. It’s also conveniently located just off the N1.

It’s a lovely venue, which made the service all the more disappointing. Our group of 14 had booked for Seafood Sunday and arrived at noon. It took about half an hour just to get drinks, and we placed our food orders by 1pm. My meal didn’t arrive until 4.15, while others at the table got theirs at different times, with the last arriving around 5.30. The food was cold, and we had to ask for cutlery and condiments. It wasn’t busy, so I can’t understand why service was so poor.
