Tuningi Safari Lodge

Our guide Ashley gave us some of the most vivid memories of the trip. His deep knowledge of the bush and woodland ecosystem shaped adventurous drives through the park, and he helped us get close-up chances for breathtaking wildlife photos. Back at Tuningi Lodge, we loved the cozy, tastefully decorated rooms, accommodating staff, and delicious, beautifully presented meals. My family and I came on a recommendation, and we'll keep recommending it to others as we plan another visit. We want more footprints and special memories to take home.

The drives were a highlight of a lifetime. Rangers and trackers read the terrain and animal behaviour so well, getting us into position without making the encounters feel staged or forced. We saw wildlife moving naturally, and it felt like a privilege to watch. At Tuningi, the thoughtful food, personal care, and attention made me feel at home, even as the bush kept the stay full of wonder. The team combined comfort and luxury with a real respect for conservation. Their hospitality felt warm and effortless, and I left grateful for their dedication, with treasured memories and a deeper appreciation for Madikwe's wild beauty. A lovely balance of wilderness and guest experience, highly recommended.

My wife has some dietary limitations, and the staff were attentive, anticipating what she needed and always ready to help. Marcel, our game drive guide, was full of information and stopped at every amazing sight. The staff were great, and the leadership was outstanding. Tuningi is in a class of its own, the gold standard for lodges. No chance you'll be disappointed. I can't wait to return with my kids and friends for years to come.
