The food was good, but the service was poor. I walked into the restaurant yesterday and couldn’t find anywhere to sit, so I left. Nobody on the floor was there to let me know the place was full.

The food was amazing, and the staff were friendly and professional. I had a lovely stay here. I’d highly recommend it for a short visit to Mafikeng, whether you’re here for work or pleasure.

I stayed for one night and ran into one problem after another. After my shower, the water wouldn’t drain, so I had to call one of the guys to unblock it. I ordered food at 3pm for 6pm, but it was only ready at 6:45pm, and I had to collect it myself. I ordered breakfast, and the guy told me it was included in the room package. I got breakfast and a lunch pack, but when I returned the key, they said I owed R280 for lamb chops I’d eaten. I said I hadn’t, so they called the chef and then said it was a mistake. They said I had R170 credit and gave me cooldrinks for the balance. Later they phoned to say I now owed R500. The staff don’t seem educated. I only had this for supper, and it’s very expensive for such a small portion. Check the picture, they’re calling that R300 worth of food. Very bad place, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been in Mafikeng for four months, and nowhere else has had better food. The oxtail and seafood pasta are definitely worth trying.
