They charged us R1 100 a night and refused when I asked for a discount. The owner or manager didn't seem interested in the problems, and they acted as if nothing was wrong. When I reported that the shower had no hot water, the lady told me to get water from the kitchen. Was I supposed to ask for a bucket to wash in too? The toilets didn't work, and the bathroom had no mirror, just old broken edges of what must have been things on the wall. If they cared for guests and the establishment as much as they cared for the wide variety of weed plants in the garden, the place could have potential. Lekkeslaap shouldn't list them. They were absolutely shameless about pretending everything was fine.

At R800 a night, this place is in very bad shape. The bedding smelled bad, the shower fittings were broken, the yard was dirty, the pool was empty, and the gate didn't work. There was no Wi-Fi, soap or shampoo, the basics I'd normally expect at a guesthouse. The list goes on. I wouldn't recommend it.

The outside is beautiful and the place has potential, but maintenance is poor: the showers and taps are rusty and don't work properly. We agreed to R600 per room and paid a deposit, then on arrival, when settling the balance, the owner Bra Dan said it was R900 per room. It felt like they were taking advantage of customers because of big events in Mafikeng. Under this management, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.

It's a regular BnB in a "suburban" area. For a private booking it's R900, and more if you go through an agency. I'd bring my own food and blankets. If you're a clean freak, it's advisable to book here. Safe enough to sleep for one night!!!!

The bacon and eggs were cold, the shower was broken, and the bed had clearly seen better days. The price kept changing: I got one amount over the phone, another when I tried to book, then it changed again when I paid. The night cost R1200 and really wasn't worth it.
