Mount Grace Hotel & Spa

We spent New Year’s at Mount Grace Hotel from 31 December 2025 to 02 January 2026, and it was a perfect family getaway. The heated pools were a big hit with the kids, and the food was excellent, with plenty of variety and consistently good quality. The atmosphere was peaceful and made it easy to relax, while still having lots for families to enjoy. The crossover and New Year setup had a lovely festive feel. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the year and would definitely recommend Mount Grace Hotel. We’re looking forward to returning.

The Terrace & Stoep served excellent food at good prices, with generous portions. Service was just as impressive, even with the hotel full and three conferences happening at once. The staff were friendly, capable, and on top of everything, so the whole visit felt smooth and high-end. I hadn’t been to Mount Grace in years, and the new décor really impressed me. They’ve done a beautiful job with the atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

We made priceless memories at my niece’s Bachelorette, even though the place itself felt like four-star entertainment. The staff treated us really well, and the food was great. Lesego was especially accommodating, moving pillows inside before the storm reached us on the evening of 31st January. The venue is near a beautiful church and next to boys town in Magalies, with good things all around it. It’s not far from JHB, but still feels like a real break from the city’s hustle. I’d love to return with my family for two weeks to get away from my busy life. Well done to the staff, management, and kitchen.

The spa was lovely, and the staff were friendly, but I don’t think the stay was worth what we paid. It was over R6,500 for one night, including two massages priced at R1,800 together, plus a small patio and private splash pool. The patio and its furniture were poorly kept, with spider webs all over the furniture. We were in a suite near the spa and needed a golf cart to reach the restaurant area. We took it three times, and each ride took about 35-40 minutes. The food menu was limited and very expensive. At that price, I expected more from the meals, room, and experience. I’d book somewhere else for that amount. It didn’t blow my hair back, and I honestly don’t know what the fuss is about.
