The garden-facing patio and generous room made the stay especially comfortable, and Jeremy kindly upgraded me when I arrived. It’s also just a two-minute drive from Malelane Gate, with reassuring 24-hour controlled access to the estate. Jeremy recommended Hamiltons for dinner, which worked out really well. I’d happily book here again when I want to be close to the park entrance.

We loved having a peaceful place to come back to during our Kruger trip. The ladies kept everything clean and made the breakfasts delicious, while the evening swims were such a treat. It felt like a luxurious home away from home. Thanks to Jeremy and the whole team, we can’t wait to return!

The included breakfast was a real treat, and check-in and communication were both easy. The property is made up of several houses converted into guest rooms, which is an unusual setup, but it works well. The landscaping brings it all together, with several pools and shared gathering spots. We only stayed one night on the way to Kruger, but I’d happily stay again.

The nearby sugar mill gets very noisy, though it shuts off after 20:00. Otherwise, this is a spacious, lovely guesthouse in a controlled-access village, right by Malelane Gate at Kruger Park. It suits a business trip or a holiday, and I’d be glad to return.

Mhlati Cottages is barely a stone’s throw from Malelane Gate, so it worked perfectly for our overnight stop before entering Kruger National Park in December. The service and stay both impressed me, and the location makes it handy for either a day visit to Kruger or a night before going in. Breakfast was excellent too.
