We spent seven nights in January and February 2026, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The food, drinks, and massage were excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive, with the owner visiting each table every evening. The setting above the crocodile river was a highlight. We watched hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, kudu, waterbucks, and even a family of elephants cross over from Kruger National Park, coming within feet of the restaurant and pool. Highly recommend.

We stayed one night in the chalet and had a great view toward Kruger, with lots of animals passing by. The room was clean and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d go again, 10/10.

From Rio Vista’s neat lawns, we watched the African wildlife along the Crocodile River beside Kruger National Park. Elephants came down for a dip while crocodiles basked in the sun.

The massage alone would bring me back if I lived nearby. I really enjoy a good massage, and this was the best I’ve had. I’d hurt my back a few weeks earlier but didn’t mention it; the therapist still spent extra time on that area, and afterward the pain was gone. We loved the friendly staff and the location was great for safari too.

We came from Mozambique in August this year, tired, and stopped at Rio Vista for lunch. The food was delicious, everything was very clean, including the bathrooms, and we were treated so well that we decided to stay the night. After reading the reviews, I’d realized it’s impossible to please everyone. For us, the staff, service, and cleanliness were all 100%. I really appreciated the whole experience and highly recommend the place. Thank you, Rio Vista.
