The rooms and grounds look gorgeous after the recent renovation, and the Wi-Fi worked well for work. Digital nomads should be fine with a hotspot, since it has 5G. There’s a big TV movie room for staying in, plus a nice bar and lots of relaxing decks where we watched animals from near the pool. Dinner by candlelight on the water was delicious, and the turndown service came with little stories and snacks. The welcome drink and cool towel were a lovely start. Staff were so friendly, and our group was thrilled with the massage under the stars with Yvonne, who has magic hands. Such a wonderful experience.

I can’t quite put into words how it feels to be here. The Crocodile River views are amazing, and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to rest and feel close to nature. It’s a magnificent paradise and definitely one for the bucket list. Thank you to all the friendly, helpful staff, and especially Johan and Chris for making us feel welcome. I hope I’ll see you again in the next few years. God bless and take care.

The kind, attentive service ladies made our visit, and Christo and Johan went out of their way to make us feel welcome. River House Lodge sits right beside the Crocodile River, so the setting is peaceful and beautiful. If you’re after lovely surroundings and great service in Malelane, this is a strong choice. Highly recommended.

This is our second visit, and we’ll definitely come back again. The place feels idyllic, with thoughtful decor and a magnificent view of the riverbed right by the edge of Kruger Park.

The rooms don’t have TVs, but the natural scenery more than makes up for it. From the viewpoint, we had a stunning look over Kruger National Park and the lively river. Staff were very friendly and honest, and even offered to courier a bag we’d accidentally left behind. A great spot for families, and we had a fantastic stay.
