First Group Costa Smeralda

Costa Smeralda flat P4 left us extremely unhappy. We weren't shown photos of the actual unit before confirming, and when we arrived it was materially different from the listing images. We also hadn't been told it was four flights up with no lift. There were several safety and maintenance problems. One bedroom window was completely broken and had been put on the sill, leaving a large, unsafe gap. It was fixed the next day, but we spent one windy night with it like that. The other bedroom window was cracked. The frying pan handle was broken and turned while in use, and the tub only had hot water, with no cold supply. The taps were very stiff, the kettle leaked while pouring, and the shower curtain let water flood the bathroom floor. No nearby plug points meant we couldn't use the bedside lamps. The fans were so noisy they disturbed our sleep. The cutlery was very old, and some cutlery and door handles felt sticky and unhygienic. The advertised pictures were deceptive and didn't show the unit's actual condition. I won't book this place again. Be careful when booking an apartment.
