Whaleback Cottage

The pet-friendly claim doesn't work for us when the wall is low and there are boulders in the yard right beside it that some dogs could climb and jump over. The door locks don't work properly, the main gate doesn't close properly, and the general safety and maintenance are ridiculous. Sorry Bill, but you make enough money to make an effort and make the place truly pet friendly and a bit safer for guests. I have four well-behaved huskies and always travel with extra fencing. Without that, I would have checked in and checked out the same day.

We've had one of our best family experiences here. I love the cottage feel, and the view is out of this world. They respond to requests quickly and are very friendly. We'll definitely go again.

We felt safe throughout the week, even with some people walking near the cottage. The best part was how close it is to a lovely pet-friendly beach, just a few steps down the path, and the deck looks out over the ocean on two sides. Inside, though, it really needs an aesthetic makeover. The decor feels stuck in the early 1990s, which was a letdown. The cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay, and Doreen came to service it each day. She was such a friendly sweetheart. We had a lovely, relaxing week in this fairytale-beautiful place, with a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere.

The house has plenty of room, and the yard is even bigger. Its scenery was out of this world for us Joburgers, coming from the concrete jungle. We made such good memories here with the family last year, and I absolutely loved this beautiful haven. The location is perfect. I can't wait to come back.
