The clean pool was a pleasure in the heat, and apart from a couple of problems, we had a nice stay. Elijah even walked to the shop for ice and really tried to help us, which we appreciated. We booked two rooms for a holiday with my husband and in-laws. One bathroom had no shower door or curtain, so water went all over the floor. In the other room, it looked like the dishes had been missed: the microwave had old, mouldy food in it, and the silver roast container still held rotten braai meat. The place itself is beautiful and nicely decorated, but it didn’t have the Marloth Park feel we were hoping for from the photos and stories people had shared. It is fenced in, so the animals can’t reach you, and that meant the accommodation felt safe.

We had such a great stay, and Elijah was a big part of that. He was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating, taking care of everything we needed. It wouldn’t have been the same without him. We’ll definitely be back!

Our rooms were sparkling clean, and caretaker Elijah went out of his way to make the stay superb. He even braaied our meat for two days. I’m definitely going back with my friends 😍

It looks beautiful 😍, but the stay was terrible 😢. We’re pretty adaptable and managed to make the best of it, but I wanted to mention these problems so they can be fixed for future guests. The toilet had no seat. The aircon only worked on heat, with no other mode, and it was insanely hot. The roof fan didn’t work either. We’d brought food that only needed warming, but the kitchen had no working oven or microwave. The caretaker went into an occupied unit to use its microwave, then brought our food back still frozen while also rushing off to deal with another complaint about a dirty room with a bad odour. Our room also had no toiletries or hairdryer, even though they were listed on the booking form.

We arrived at 16 and waited for 15 minutes, but there was nobody at reception or anywhere else at the venue, so we left. Luckily, we had free cancellation. The hotel looked okay from the outside, though a little outdated.
