Kruger Castle

Kruger ruins. I hardly ever leave a negative review, but stay away until construction is completed. Even after that, there are things to consider. The house faces inward onto the courtyard, which doesn't feel much like being in the bush. There was no aircon, which seemed like a basic need in this area, especially with temperatures at 36 degrees while we were there. We were seven guests but could only get six towels. The so-called terrace is just a bare rooftop, not a terrace. There were also security concerns: the gates and doors didn't lock properly, and security in general felt like a big worry. There's no DSTV for watching sport. The laundry line is in the courtyard beside the pool, so staff underwear was in the main living area when I arrived, which I really didn't want to see. Cleaning services were very limited. For a longer stay, bring your own freezer, since the single upright one can't hold meat for several days. There are better options in beautiful Marloth Park. I'd also book through the booking site so you have insurance. While I was speaking with the facility, the site price suddenly went up by R3000, and I was bamboozled into paying by EFT.

The rooms were super clean, and the hosts were perfect. I felt safe here and had an amazing time. It was amazeballs. I'll definitely recommend it and come back.

Everything was amazing. The hostess is a wonderful person, and it's a great place to spend a few nights.
