The room was the main letdown. It had no windows or proper airflow, so it felt stuffy, and cockroaches appeared often during my stay, which was uncomfortable. The calm surroundings, well-organized facilities, and satisfying, well-prepared breakfast made the stay generally pleasant. Better ventilation and stronger hygiene and pest control would improve the experience a lot.

We stayed in a room with a king-size bed, balcony, spacious shower, and a bar fridge stocked with water. All the rooms have air-conditioning. The guesthouse is well kept and secure, and it gave me a sense of ownership. We ran into a water shortage, but the hosts quickly brought buckets of water, hot as well, for showers and the toilet. That's problem solving 101. Breakfast was filling and served at convenient times, from 7 to 9 am, and there's a kitchen if you want to cook. The parking area has an electric fence, security cameras covering the entrances, and the option of a double garage. I'll return to Victorian Guest House when I'm in Nelspruit.

The location worked really well for us, and the bedroom was clean. My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was okay, though there could've been more choices. We'd happily stay here again.

The rooms were spotless and the staff really friendly. Breakfast starting at 6:30 would help, and an inverter for load shedding would make this a 5-star stay for me.
