Tropical Paradise Guest House

The receptionist barely greeted us when we arrived and wasn't friendly. When we asked for a replacement towel because ours were torn, she didn't apologize for their poor condition. The cupboards were dusty inside, the beds worn out, the taps didn't work, and there was no toilet paper holder. We had to ask for a usable towel. The cups looked broken and repaired, and they gave us a dessert spoon for making coffee. There's no gate remote, so you have to phone when you return and ask someone to open it. It didn't feel welcoming at all. I'm shocked that bookings.com is associated with a guest house like this. The place is falling apart and wasn't what we expected.

We were six people, paid the same amount, but got rooms that weren't equal. The lady didn't show us around, the beds were worn out and uncomfortable, and one room clearly hadn't had its bed changed. There was no soap or anything else. Worst of all, cockroaches were all over the rooms. When we complained, the lady said the owner wasn't doing anything about them. I was very disappointed, and the two nights here were awful. I could never recommend this lodge.

We spent two nights here, and housekeepers never cleaned or made the beds. We'd return after a long day to dirty rooms and undone beds. There was no soap or sanitizer in the toilets, no toilet paper refills, and the tea things in the rooms were dirty. The woman at reception didn't show us where our rooms were, so we had to find them ourselves. The place isn't maintained. It was a horrible, low-quality lodge, just too much.

I had to ask about the Wi-Fi and car gate as the manager walked away, and she couldn't be bothered to show me to my room. There was no soap or shampoo, the comforter was stained, and the TV didn't work. Wi-Fi didn't reach the room either. When I went to reception to get online, it was locked, so I had to sit outside on the ground. It also took several minutes of shouting at the gate before anyone let me in.
