For over 3k a night, I expected better basics in the two-bedroom unit for four people. There was just one sugar sachet instead of two for each guest, only two coffee pods, and Damm cremora. I’ve seen better room supplies in 1-star hotels in SA, honestly. Step it up a bit, man. The hotel’s food was terrible too. Who thought putting Shania, jeera on a mince pizza was a good idea? It completely ruined the taste, and we were put off trying anything else. The location is near the zone, but right on the gatkant of the road area, as they’d say.

The staff were polite, but not friendly at all. Also, they don’t serve alcoholic drinks. That’s their choice, but it should be made clear beforehand. We expected to have a drink in the lobby and only found out they didn’t sell any there. The street is dark and abandoned, so it feels unsafe. The stay was just a little comfortable.

The birthday surprise and the staff singing happy birthday really made my day. I’m so grateful for the thought and kindness they showed. Everyone at Hyatt House Rosebank was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and they made the breakfast atmosphere lovely. Thanks to the whole team for helping make such a meaningful birthday feel special and unforgettable.

The hot breakfast was included, and the price was very reasonable. I’d stay here again, especially for the attentive staff and how close it is to shopping and dining. It’s a good hotel.

The location was perfect and the staff were helpful. But the breakfast let me and my daughter down, and I won’t be coming back to Hyatt house. I wish there had been a better range of hot food, especially since some guests aren’t South African.
