La Villa Rosa

Great service and luxurious rooms at La Villa Rosa, in a convenient Midrand location. It’s a beautiful property, and a good fit for business, families, or a romantic getaway. Miles ahead of the other places in Midrand.

We hit a major hiccup at first and were frustrated, but our host made it right and compensated us. It’s a lovely place to recharge, and I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a stay like that.

Room 6’s door wouldn’t open from outside, so we had to go in through the main door and house. There was no microwave in the room for heating dinner, either. Otherwise, it was neat and clean, with friendly, helpful staff, easy access to Midrand and the shops, and a quiet setting. Thank you!

July 2023 I’ve been coming to this B & B from the UK for years, and the staff have always been accommodating. Connie has been especially good to me over the years, which makes this review hard to write. I’m starting to feel like the upkeep is slipping. The two outside rooms are very clean, and the bed was comfortable. But on this trip, I felt a slight shock when turning the shower taps on and off. I thought I might be imagining it at first, then felt it again the next morning. My granddaughter said she’d felt it the night before too. I text Bizza because I’d left the water running and didn’t want to risk touching the taps again. Bizza came and turned the water off, and said he’d get an electrician to look at it that day. When I spoke with him that evening, he said you can’t get a shock from touching the taps because it’s just water coming through the pipe. My husband is an electrician and said the pipes need to be earthed and can be affected. I didn’t feel the B & B took the concern seriously. The door handle also comes out of its slot when you try to close the door. I raised that with them in 2022, but it still hasn’t been fixed.
