The grounds are tidy, and the quiet location has a bit of a holiday feel. The host and staff are friendly and always ready to help. Meals are cooked to suit individual tastes, even when you’re there as part of a group. It feels like home, with a few extra comforts. GREAT STAY.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place was clean, but the accommodation was disappointing. Our group was large, and it seems we got the best room. Other rooms had problems: one smelled bad, apparently because of the septic tanks, and another had power issues. Hot water wasn’t guaranteed, and there were no towels, cups, glasses, or other basics in the rooms.

I’m furious that I paid more than I was asked to. My exam starts at 9:30, and by 7:30 I just wanted to get out of there. The room had no hot water, so I had to walk a few metres to another room to shower. Afterward, I couldn’t turn off the hot water tap. The numbers Travel Ground gave me were wrong too. Worst stay ever.

The basics were there: I had hot water for a shower and the air-conditioning worked well. The outdoor furniture was a bit wobbly. We left early and got back late, so I can’t really give a fair opinion or a higher rating. I’d stay again if I had to.

I spent six nights here while on holiday in South Africa. It’s a beautiful place with nice rooms and friendly staff. I wouldn’t choose anywhere else, and I’m planning to stay here again.
