Dinner was still being prepared, with the smell of grilled chicken and ribs drifting out of the kitchen. Before that, we’d enjoyed a dip in the sparkling blue pool. MaVicky and her kids run this charming little guesthouse, and they made us feel very welcome. It’s comfy and clean, with plenty of soul. Sun City is 15 mins away and Pilanesberg Game Reserve is 5 mins away. Such a lovely find, I’d definitely recommend this B&B.

The rooms stayed clean and well maintained during our stay, and the service was really good. The operations manager, Modiegi, was easy to reach and very helpful. I forgot my AirPods, and they even sent them to me by courier. Nice place.

The pillows had mold on them, larvae were on the curtains, and the geyser in our room was leaking, so water ended up all over the bathroom when we showered. The heat was unbearable. Even trying to sleep on the floor didn’t help, and we left at 04:00 on the first night, though we’d booked for two nights. I tried giving constructive feedback first, but they stonewalled me. I ended up filing a complaint with the SA tourism board.

The rooms were clean and the food was great, and Vicky and her daughter were really kind and helpful. Everything else was perfect. The only problem was that we got up at 7 and the water had already gone cold, so we had to take a cold shower.

We arrived late, but they still made us dinner, and we had a nice chat. They were welcoming and did their best to help us with everything, so we really felt like family. My husband and I had a great stay at Vicky B's. The room was clean and nice, and the place is very close to Pilanesberg National Park.
