I went for work expecting very little, but the warm welcome when I arrived changed that straight away. The reception team, porter, and all the other staff I met around the facilities were pleasant. The room and pool were clean, and I enjoyed the on-site amenities, including the gym. Dinner at the buffet was a real highlight: everything was cooked just right and tasted so good. Even the red wine I tried, though I’d never heard of it before, was great. Breakfast was the one letdown. There were problems with my order, and items weren’t replenished consistently. The first fruit platter had watermelon, but it was missing from the second batch. A small detail, but it mattered. I still had a wonderful stay, and the staff deserve credit for their outstanding service. Thank you.

The food really surprised me, and the service from the staff was impeccable. The hotel has an old fashioned feel, a bit like being back in the 90s, in a good way. It may not have modern finishes or be Instagram-able, but it’s clean and very well maintained. I stayed for a week while working, and was pleasantly surprised by the buffet. Even if you’re not staying there, it’s worth stopping by for it. 👏🏾👌🏾

The garden cottages get a lot of road noise at all hours, with trucks clanging and revving as they pass. They could really use soundproofing. The rooms themselves were nice, the restaurant was lovely, and the staff were very friendly.

The pork neck, oxtail, and chocolate sauce were the standouts for me at Park Hotel’s Sunday lunch buffet. There was plenty to choose from, including tender roasts, fresh salads, and lots of tempting desserts. It’s great value for the quality, and the friendly service and warm atmosphere made it a treat. Highly recommend it for a Sunday feast.
