I went solo for my birthday, but everyone made me feel comfortable, like I wasn’t on my own. The receptionists, kitchen staff and housekeeper on duty from 29 - 31 May were all great. I couldn’t do many activities because I visited during hunting season, but I had a lovely stay and will definitely be back soon 🥰

It has such a peaceful feel, and the meals are delicious. The staff are so warm and friendly that the place almost feels like home.

We couldn’t get back into the lodge after a braai at the adjacent lodge. No one answered the gate, and we were stuck outside for nearly half an hour. There’s no Vodacom reception to call anyone and no intercom at the gate, which made it horrible. We were there for a wedding, and the lodge was poorly managed with unclean rooms. This was my worst experience ever.

Bass Camp was beautiful and quiet, and our accommodation was beyond what we expected. It was a perfect couples getaway. The service was amazing from reception through to the chef. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and our dinner was fantastic. The chef made and served our food with a smile.

The place is beautiful, but the service was poor when we went for a year-end function. Staff weren’t friendly and didn’t communicate important details. There was no security or gatekeeper, so we had to get out of the car in the rain and push the gates ourselves. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
