The owner kindly moved us to an upgraded room, which was spacious, lovely and comfortable. We also enjoyed the pretty garden and refreshing pool. It’s just a few minutes on foot to bakeries, restaurants, the Saturday market and farm stands. Montagu is charming, and we’ll absolutely be back.

We’d planned to stay two nights, but after all the thoughtful little touches, we wanted a whole week. The hosts were engaging, and we arrived to local jerepigo wine and a welcome gift. Breakfast was amazing, the bed and room were so comfortable, and the garden and pool are adorable. They’ve collected over a hundred local activity ideas, many easy to walk to, including places to eat, the bird blind and Montagu nature garden.

The main house has lovely high pressed ceilings and original wooden floors, while the rooms we stayed in felt open and modern. Everything was cosy, clean and inviting, with a pool too. The people were so warm and went the extra mile to keep us comfortable. We’ll be back!

It’s peaceful, clean and beautiful here, and Kathy is a wonderful host. Breakfast was out of this world, and the place felt like home away from home. What an amazing stay, can’t wait to come back next year!
