Breakfast was our favourite part of the stay. There was a buffet with cereal, bread and spreads, plus freshly cooked eggs. A lovely way to start the day, and well worth it. Since it was off season, we were the only guests and had the place to ourselves. Maike was so friendly and made us feel welcome when we arrived. The room was comfortable, with a good bathroom and a big shower. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this guesthouse.

The owners’ warmth is what keeps bringing us back to Avenues Guesthouse. We’ve spent each of the past three Decembers there for a whole month, and from the first day it feels like home. The welcome, care and attention to detail have been just as good every time. Seashells is always peaceful, comfortable and beautifully kept. We look forward to the delicious buffet breakfast each morning, and the owner’s huge tea selection is worth exploring. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Mossel Bay, and we’re already looking forward to next year. Highly recommended!

Breakfast and coffee were perfect every morning, and the rooms were spotless. Meike and Martin made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had a wonderful week, and the place is only a block from a beautiful sea view. Lovely hosts.

The rooms were spotless, with a thorough clean every day, and breakfast came with amazing coffee each morning. Our gracious hosts were so welcoming that we felt right at home. We loved our three-night stay!
