It felt a bit like being out in the bush, but with the sea nearby. We saw most of the animals, even at feeding time. The place was beautiful, and our unit was clean and neat. I wouldn’t call the unit we stayed in a honeymoon suite, though it was still nice. It seemed better suited to a family than the unit next door.
The quad bike tour was the highlight of our time around Mossel bay, easily the most spectacular thing we did here. Vicki welcomed us right from the start and introduced us to so many lovely little mammals. We’ll remember them for a long, long time. Thanks so much to Vicki and the team, you’re amazing. There’s a huge range of animals to see on the farm, whether you head out on a game drive or see them from the air in a helicopter. The accommodation was neat, clean, well equipped and really comfortable. Staff were wonderfully friendly and always ready to help. Hippos, lions, duiker and more, what a great place and experience!
The helicopter options make Bergsig Farm feel truly unique, and the chalets have beautiful views. We really enjoyed our stay, with plenty of wildlife to see and very friendly staff. May Kobus Crous’s legacy live on.
Wildlife wanders right up to the cottages at this lovely Hartenbos haven. The cottages are comfortable and well equipped, and the hosts, Kobus, the helicopter pilot, Lizelle and their team, are hands on, knowledgeable and passionate about nature and wildlife. They’re also very hospitable. The helicopter trip is a must, especially the remote picnic spot by the stream that you can only reach by helicopter. Highly recommended and well worth a visit 👌
