Coffee pods in the room with no machine to use them, which was confusing and a bit of emotional damage. The bed was horrible, the kind that has you counting ceiling cracks at 2am, and definitely needs replacing. The food was amazing, and the staff were genuinely friendly, actual nice humans, no fake smiles. We were here for a work conference and it worked well overall. All the rooms we saw had just two beds, so I wouldn’t call it child-friendly. For a couples’ escape, though, it makes sense. Wild animals roam freely and come surprisingly close to the pool, which is very cool and a little National Geographic.

We went on a private game drive with a great guide, and even driving in and out of the property felt like a game drive. I booked an indoor picnic for two when we arrived 🔥 and had amazing meals at the restaurant downstairs. The pool views are so tranquil. It’s a beautiful hotel with great amenities. I was too busy taking everything in and living in the moment to take many pictures. I’d definitely recommend it 👌

The conservancy setting was a real highlight for our children. Seeing the wildlife, from giraffes to warthogs, felt magical. The staff were consistently kind, helpful, and eager to assist, and we truly enjoyed the hotel’s unique atmosphere. At check-in, we weren’t told about the on-site activities, including safari drives and hot air balloons. A resident discount for those experiences could encourage guests to choose the hotel’s options over outside ones. In the room, the bathroom had no ventilation or air freshener, and not having a phone to reception made communication difficult, so we had to use our own devices. The pool was a challenge with young children because there’s no shallow end, which is a significant safety concern and a big no for parents with little ones. I hope this feedback helps with future planning.

The rooms need a general renovation, and it was clear that the owners care more about making money and taking shortcuts than providing proper service. The place felt more like a res than a hotel. Our shower door needed fixing, the carpets needed cleaning, and there was no bar fridge. The walls weren’t soundproof, so we could clearly hear other people’s conversations. The pool was too deep to swim in and doesn’t cater for most guests. A disappointing experience, and I’d never come back.
