Sampie went out of his way to protect the ladies from spiders :-) We stayed at Siesta Guest House for a work trip and found it to be an amazing little gem, with crisp, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and a real homely feel. I'd recommend it to anyone, including women travelling alone.

We couldn't get any rest because of loud people and loud music, so we finally packed up and left at 1:30 am. It was a horrific stay, absolutely not worth the money. We only booked because everywhere else was full. After I posted my review, the owner, Mr Sampie van Vuuren, called and swore at and insulted me without even asking what had happened. Very rude and unprofessional. I'd never stay there again.

We packed up at 2 in the morning because it was just too noisy. The place was dirty, the TV and DStv weren't working, and the old bedding and cheap beds were really uncomfortable. It's very basic and definitely not worth the price. I wouldn't recommend it.
