The place is beautiful, but poor service meant I didn't enjoy the stay. There was no electricity all weekend, both Friday and Saturday. When we asked them to at least run the generator, they said there was no petrol, even though we opened it and saw it was full. We couldn't cook or iron, or enjoy warm water. It was a really bad experience.

The full kitchen in our room had all the utensils we needed to make meals, which made it easy to self-cater and feel at home. We also found the room immaculately clean, and the rest of the guesthouse seemed just as well cared for. Check-in was quick, and the staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. The quiet, peaceful surroundings gave us a chance to unwind. A highlight was the gentleman who cleaned the pool. It was too cold for us to swim, but his warm smile and kind manner stood out. You can tell the team at 85 Ehmke Guesthouse cares about guests. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was thoughtfully equipped, and the whole stay was fantastic. We'd highly recommend it for a relaxing break.

The owner was so helpful and friendly, and the place was very clean. Traffic made us arrive late, but he came over as soon as we got there. I’ll recommend this Guesthouse to anyone. Thank you so much Larry, we appreciate it.
