After nine days here, the simple white cottage had started to feel familiar. It’s close to the church, and the all-white rooms somehow still felt cool and calming. The kitchen is basic but has what you need, though you might want to bring a sharp knife. I left feeling relaxed and recharged after our lovely time in Nieu Bethesda. And there’s a resident cat, Charlie ❤️

We found it comfortable, with electric blankets that were very welcome on those first chilly nights. The accommodation is basic and set in a typical Nieu Bethesda Karoo garden. It would work well for a big group with children, and most places are an easy walk away.
