Pictures Boutique Hotel

Eric gave us a great welcome. The room felt luxurious and was beautiful. It’s a real hidden gem in Oudtshoorn, with good value for the price and quality overall.

The restaurant has tables indoors and outside, so it’s lovely for alfresco dining, and the pool is stunning. This is a fantastic 5-star boutique hotel with impeccable service. Eric made us feel welcome from the start, and he’s so friendly and delightful.

The service was phenomenal, and I’ll definitely come again. My room had everything I needed, including a tea and coffee station with the biggest range of snacks and drinks I’ve ever seen in a guesthouse. The bed, linen and pillows were all very good quality. It’s wonderfully peaceful, with a stunning outdoor pool and landscaped gardens. Outstanding service and quality, and a beautiful place with a fantastic team. I recommend Pictures Guest House, Oudtshoorn to everyone!

After a great night’s sleep, we had a tasty breakfast before heading to our next stop. The food was absolutely amazing, and when we visited it was chilly and windy, so we spent the evening cozy indoors. In better weather, dining outside by the pool and outdoor bar must be lovely. We only stayed one night, but it was one of the most memorable of our two-week trip to South Africa. From the moment our wonderful hosts welcomed us, we felt at home. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the time downstairs felt like visiting good friends. We had interesting conversations, lots of laughs, and even sang together. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!
