Karen and Deon were there to greet us when we arrived, and were so friendly. The house was spotless and tastefully done, with every detail taken care of. Even fresh milk was waiting in the fridge. On the chilly nights, the electric blanket and really hot shower were especially welcome. Staying at "rus in de Rust" was a five star surprise. Highly recommended!

The original house has been renovated beautifully, with so much care for the details and guest comfort. It was very clean and well equipped. We arrived to a warm, cosy house with the lamps already on, and a lovely welcome. We only wished we could have stayed longer.

The mountain views are breathtaking, and the shower might be the best I’ve ever had. It’s an elegant, beautiful retreat, quietly tucked away from the main road. The decor feels thoughtful and tasteful. One of the best places I’ve stayed.

I slept so deeply over those two nights, better than I have in a very long time. When morning came, I found myself not wanting to pack up and leave. Deon and Karin, thank you for such a beautiful and calming place. It was a much-needed rest for my mind and spirit, a serene haven in a busy world.

The kitchen was really nicely equipped, with good pots, sharp knives, and a milk frother. I also loved the little solar lamps. The place was very clean, and the design is something special. It’s the most beautifully styled Airbnb I’ve stayed in anywhere in South Africa, and such a great spot for kids. Thanks, Karen!
