Sonas Boutique Guest House

The TV in our room didn't work properly, and the bed was uncomfortably hard. The bathroom wasn't properly cleaned either. The pool was one of the main facilities, but it was dirty and unusable. From previous reviews, this seems to be a recurring problem. The stay at Sonas Boutique Hotel in Oudtshoorn fell well short of the five star experience we expected. The villa is in a remote residential area with little charm or nearby amenities. If you're after a luxurious, relaxing stay, I wouldn't choose this place.

We booked Sonas Boutique Guest House less than 24 hours ahead and stayed for two nights. It's a lovely place, and with only a few rooms it felt quieter, which we really liked. The large shared lounge is where breakfast is served, and there's a terrace with a pool overlooking the beautiful landscape, plus a gym. Katja and her team made us feel welcome from the start. We arrived on a Sunday without knowing most restaurants would be closed, so they suggested dinner options and arranged a reservation while we were still on the road. They also helped plan activities and were easy to reach on WhatsApp whenever we needed anything. Everyone was attentive and warm. Thanks, Sonas-Team, for a comfortable and pleasant stay. We'd definitely recommend it.

The location was beautiful and peaceful, and the architecture, structures and decor were pleasing to look at. It had a pristine, professional feel, with fantastic service and an amazing atmosphere. This was the best getaway I've had in years. I'm very pleased and would recommend Sonas Boutique Hotel to friends and anyone looking for the perfect getaway.

We stopped for a night at Sonas Boutique Hotel on our way from Cape Town to Knysna. It's a beautiful hotel, with friendly staff and a well appointed room. Breakfast was a highlight. It was too cold for us to swim, but the pool looked wonderful. I'd highly recommend it for a relaxing stay in Oudtshoorn.
