From the deck, you get a lovely view across Oyster Bay and the beach, and the huge beach is rarely busy. The restaurant is tucked behind the local shop, with friendly service and really good value. It’s a quaint seaside town out of the way, but worth visiting. They also have B&B.

On June 8, the fish special was a grey, rubbery piece with no taste. I couldn't understand how anyone thought it was fit to serve as a dish.

It took almost two hours to get just three plates of fish and chips. The staff were friendly, but that doesn't make up for the wait. Speed matters, and there's a lot of room to improve.

I ordered a milkshake, then half an hour later the waitress told me they had no ice cream. I asked how long the food would take and was told around two hours. Terrible service.

Three hours for a pizza? So bad, don't bother trying it.
