We stayed for two nights while sightseeing around Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. I booked this hotel because it offered family rooms, and ours was spacious and very clean, with a great shower and a fantastic bed. I'd seen the breakfast reviews, but it was still a pleasant surprise. The ladies serving were quick and sweet, and we were sorry to leave.

Everything felt professional but still had a homely feel, and we were made very welcome. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and the staff so friendly. We had a relaxing time by the pool. A must if you're in Paarl.

I rarely write reviews, but this hotel offered no hospitality. The rooms were okay but had no charm, arranged around the owners' private home. A small dog ran out from there barking at my daughter, who luckily isn't afraid, and nobody apologized. The very dated TV in our room didn't work. We were told to text "Adrian"; he never showed up. The barman and maid tried their best to fix it, but couldn't. The bartender offered us a drink, which I thought might be compensation for the TV, but when it arrived he charged us full price.

The team were lovely and friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing, and the rooms were big, clean and lovely.

Lunch was the standout for us, especially the tender venison with a gravy sauce that was so good. We also used the venue and were welcomed warmly by the friendly staff. Coffee and snacks arrived on time and were great quality. I’ll definitely be back next year. Well done, Team Lemoenkloof!
