The views are amazing, the service was excellent, and the bed was great, with fresh, clean bedding. It’s a clean, nicely decorated self-catering unit. We also got a 50% discount for the reptile tour as guests, which was a nice bonus. The food was the one drawback. The cheese sauce was like milk, the chips were underdone, and the pizza was okay. I’d still highly recommend Waterside on Le Boneur.

The mountain view across the lake is magnificent, and there are lovely winefarms nearby. We really enjoyed staying at Le Bonheur. The rooms felt spacious, clean, and cool, and the kitchen had good equipment, though the water pressure was low. Sean kindly helped us get a braai ready for dinner.

The restaurant was the letdown, with average food at prices that felt too high. The rooms, though, are neat and homey, and you can see the effort put into them. There are also a few helpful arrangements for load shedding. A beautiful location and good accommodation for an affordable price.
