Dinner at Smeul Restaurant was one of the highlights, especially the perfectly cooked steak. Zomerlust Hotel has been transformed under its new ownership, and the thoughtful details make it feel like a world-class place to stay. My room was beautifully renovated, elegant and comfortable, with a modern feel. The staff were welcoming and attentive from the start, taking care of valet parking and bringing my luggage to the room. They even anticipated personal preferences, from pillow softness to the milk in the fridge. The new team has created a luxurious stay with genuine hospitality. I can't recommend it enough and look forward to coming back.

The homemade bread gave me such a warm, happy feeling and brought back memories of my gran's AGA stove on the farm. Kevin's food was sensational, and I can't wait to return. The staff were incredible, especially the lovely reception ladies who made me feel like family. Bradley was so lovely I wanted to bring him home forever. This grand old Dame has been lovingly restored with quirky details and playful colour. What a privilege to stay in this little piece of heaven. The service was fit for a queen. Well done, Team Zomerlust!

The service stood out from the welcome at the door to the waiters, who remembered our drink preferences and the little details. They made us feel like their most valued guests. The old beauty has been brought back to life under new ownership and management, keeping its charm while giving it a fresh look. Our room was stunning, and the cute amenities were almost too tempting to take home and show the kids 🫣. The food was out of this world. Chef Kevin at SMEUL has put together a heavenly menu. We'll need to return for other dishes, or just order that same superb meal again 😁.

SMEUL is open to the public, and both the food and service were out of this world. The renovated hotel shows love and passion in every detail and bit of decor. With new management, friendly staff, and five-star service, this local gem is a lovely place to treat yourself. We had a wonderful stay at the newly renovated Zomerlust Boutique Hotel in Paarl. Check in, you won't be sorry. Thanks for a lovely visit. x
