Abalone Hotel and Villa's

The seafood was especially delicious, and the staff were professional and so friendly. It’s a serene, beautiful place, and one of the nicest spots I’ve stayed in for a while. If you want somewhere local, affordable, and stunning, give this hotel a try. We had a brilliant stay, thank you.

The staff really stood out: so warm, attentive, and caring, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We also enjoyed a professionally done, relaxing couples’ massage. Every meal we had, dinner included, was delicious, and the breakfast menu has plenty of choices for different tastes. In April 2026 we stayed in a spacious sea-facing villa at Abalone Hotel & Villas. It had a lovely verandah, a comfortable daybed, and a splash pool that felt private, though it was shared with a few other villas. The beach is a short walk away, as are shops and restaurants. We’d highly recommend it for a relaxing, memorable getaway.

We were two adults and a toddler, staying for three nights in Jan26. The staff were kind throughout, and we always felt welcomed and looked after. Being at the far end of Paternoster, close to the beach, made the stay feel especially relaxing. Other places are still just a short walk or drive away. Our sea-view room had modern furniture, sunset views, plenty of space, and a big comfortable bed. We could hear the ocean, too. Breakfast and dinner were sensational, among the best meals we had on our trip through South Africa. It was lovely having the oyster bar across the road. Abalone Hotel is a reason for us to return to South Africa, and we’ll definitely stay here again.

We left feeling properly rested and will definitely be back. The team met every need with a smile, and were so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. For our Easter weekend with family, we swam in the beautiful pools and played quiet games of chess. The jacuzzi and sauna were switched on and ready for us, and sunset cocktails and beach walks were recommended. The team even let us use an empty chalet for a private family braai, a thoughtful gesture that made our celebration easier and more special. It was just the restful, fun holiday we wanted, and a lovely place to switch off while being well looked after.
