La Baleine

Cornelia and Moses were friendly and so accommodating, and the service was amazing throughout our weekend. The studio cottage had been beautifully decorated for our first anniversary, and we loved the bay views from the balcony, especially at sunset with a glass of wine. It’s a great spot, just a short walk from the beach and crayfish wharf. We’ll definitely be back.

You can hear the ocean all day and feel a fresh breeze, with the beach less than a minute away and an incredible view. My girlfriend and I spent our anniversary weekend here, and it was a wonderful experience. The beds were warm and comfortable, and the small bathroom had everything we needed as a couple. The rooms also had all the kitchen utensils we could have wanted. Bring some wood for a braai by the sea, then relax and enjoy this remote little town from the comfort of the cottages. :)

We had everything needed for an easy self-catering stay at La Baleine in Nassau A, including thoughtful touches like matches for the fire, a filter coffee machine, sprigs of lavendar on the duvet, and plenty of dishwashing tablets. The seaview was heavenly, and the location overlooks the ocean, with the beach only a minute's walk away. Crayfish Wharf is nearby, with about four restaurants to choose from. We spent a magical three nights here. Moses handed over the keys quickly and cheerfully, setting a lovely tone, and everyone was perfect. Nothing to complain about. A fabulous stay in Paternoster, and we'll be back!

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, thanks to our warm and friendly hosts. Oranje was such a lovely little haven for two that we hardly went out, since everything we wanted was right there. The studio is cleverly laid out, with an open-plan kitchen and lounge opening onto a patio with a braai area and a white outdoor dining table that suits the house's whitewashed look. There are ocean views from the patio, sitting room, and bedroom balcony, though the bedroom view is partial.
