The Oystercatchers Haven at Paternoster

The staff were wonderful, and the rooms had charming decor, an amazing view and delicious breakfast. This was the perfect first stop for my RSA/Namibia road trip. After an overnight flight, the drive from Cape Town airport was much easier than I'd expected. Highly recommend, and I'm looking forward to staying again.

The breakfast and service were both spot on, and the beachside location couldn't be better. I loved the nostalgic, one-of-a-kind feel inside too. Thanks for having us, we'd happily come back.

Even with the poor weather, we had such a lovely stay because the house felt so cozy. An Su had even booked us a table for the first evening, not realizing we'd already made a booking. Such a thoughtful thing to do. She made us feel at home and looked after, and the house is beautiful, from the little pool to the rooms, where every detail feels lovingly chosen. Breakfast was perfect, served with care and different each day. We'd love to return. Thank you, An Su!

We spent time watching the birds and walking on the beach, though the Atlantic Ocean was far too cold for a swim. There's also a small dip pool. Our room looked out over the bay, with a lovely bed, a good shower room and patio areas outside. Oystercatcher is right above the bay with access down to the beach, and the white guesthouse is picture perfect. The shared spaces are interesting and tastefully decorated, and parking was good. Breakfast was very good. The staff were both professional and friendly. It was our first visit to Paternoster and we weren't sure what to expect, but both the town and the guesthouse were superb. Definitely recommend.
