Blue Largo is wonderfully quiet, with a pool and one of the nicest, cleanest beaches just a short walk away. It sits between Umhlanga and Ballito, so it's also a quick drive to more activity. My in-laws moved here from Johannesburg about two years ago, and after all our visits my wife and I feel like honorary residents. The views are breathtaking, especially for early risers. The complex gets so quiet after sunrise that it feels like a library with a pool. That peace might not suit young people looking for parties or adventure. If you want a little outing nearby, there's Beach Bums down the road, but I reviewed it separately and unfortunately can't recommend it. The rules are taken very seriously. A couple of residents keep a close eye on things, so don't expect to have a late-night braai or play music a little too loudly. Even stopping in another resident's parking space for a few seconds to drop something off can bring out the parking police. It's a peaceful spot for enjoying nature if you follow the rules and leave the party hats at home.
