The wildlife was the reason we came, and it was superb. We spent three nights here, with six game drives, and our ranger Wonga was brilliant. We already miss heading out with him. The staff were all wonderful and made the stay, and the room had clearly been thought through. Service was top notch. Breakfast was amazing and the food was generally very good, though vegetarian choices at lunch and dinner were sometimes limited. I’d also expected the evening meal to be a little higher standard. That didn’t take too much away from our first safari, which was an amazing experience.

The food was unbelievable, genuinely exceptional, and the lodges and staff made our three nights wonderful too. We went on game drives with Roan, who was fantastic. It was our first safari, and we can’t imagine having a better time somewhere else. If you’re thinking about a safari in South Africa, I can’t recommend Bush Lodge highly enough. Thank you to the whole Bush Lodge team! :)

Our ranger AJ was brilliant, and the staff looked after us so well. The lodgings were fantastic, really well equipped, with lovely views and wildlife often crossing the land right in front of us. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. A memory for a lifetime, and hopefully we’ll be back.

Jonna was such a fantastic guy to have as our ranger. We were lucky to have him on the safari drives, which were wonderful. The food was really nice too, and we had a lovely stay at the Bush Lodge! 🤩 Greetings, Lien and Tim

The game drives were the best part for me. We got close to lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and plenty more, and Brett made every outing exciting and interesting with how much he knew. Kayla and the restaurant staff were especially friendly, with Kayla really standing out. Our stay at The Bush Lodge in Amakhala Game Reserve was unforgettable. The tented rooms looked stunning, and each had a private plunge pool and outdoor shower. A real bucket-list experience from beginning to end.
