We spent five nights as a couple at Andante Boutique Lodge, which gave us enough time to see both the good and the bad. The décor and fittings look attractive, but the room felt poorly maintained: the wall clock was dead, the toilet seat wobbled, and the bedside lamp's flickering LED wasn't useful for reading. It seemed to be a converted garage, with the door and windows all at one end. There wasn't much daylight or airflow, and we could hear movement and noise from the rooms on either side. Building work was going on throughout our stay, with builders and cement work around the property. Nobody mentioned it when we booked, and there was no apology or offer of a discount or other concession. For the price, the experience didn't match the way the lodge is presented. We felt it was poor value.

The hall was good, and both the service and food were tops. The whole place is really nice. I'd be happy to stay over sometime and experience more of it.

Great location, and everything was very neat and clean. I'd stay there again.

Once you're on the property, you could almost forget you're in Pretoria. It's a beautiful spot for photos and works for couples or group trips. There's a braai area and a sound system to enjoy, plus room basics like a microwave and bar fridge. Definitely worth a visit.

Thanks so much to the Andante team for making me feel safe and comfortable. They answered my call after hours and helped quickly and efficiently, with a really friendly welcome. They go out of their way to make things right, and I highly recommend Andante Boutique Lodge if you're after a home away from home.
